BHP shortlisted for British Accountancy Awards 2011

Barber Harrison & Platt (BHP), Yorkshire’s leading independent firm of chartered accountants has been included on a shortlist of only five firms of accountants for the British Accountancy 2011 Audit and Tax Excellence Awards.

The shortlisting for the Tax Award of the Year (National, Mid-Tier, and/or Independent Firm) is based on “innovation, return on investment, quality of management and impact” and is a clear endorsement of the standard of the tax offering at BHP.

Zoe Roberts, Head of Corporate Tax at BHP said, “I am delighted that the quality of our tax work is recognised at a national level. The tax team takes great pride in providing high quality commercial tax advice and an excellent service to our clients.”

Zoe added, “It is interesting that the two firms who have been nominated from outside the South East of England are based in Yorkshire, perhaps this shows if you want good quality tax advice – Yorkshire is the place to be!”

The winners will be announced at the awards evening in London on 30 November 2011.
