Experience:

• John Longstaff joined Barber Harrison & Platt in January 2008 as a Director in the Ingram Forrest Corporate Finance department.
• John qualified as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton in 2000 and since then he has specialised in corporate finance work.
• Prior to joining BHP, John worked at the YFM Group where he gained valuable private equity experience working on the South Yorkshire Investment Fund.
• During his time at YFM John completed two equity investments into a building products manufacturer and a professional services firm.
• Before working at YFM, John worked as a corporate finance professional in the Sheffield marketplace where he advised on a number of M&A deals.

Interests:

• John is married with a daughter, and his outside interests include sports, particularly golf and football, as well as enjoying good food and drink.
