Experience:

• Scott joined BHP as an Associate in the Tax team in December 2007.
• Scott graduated from Sheffield University with a Law degree in 1997 and went on to pass the Association of Taxation Technician exams in 1999. He became a fully trained tax adviser in 2001 when he completed the Institute of Tax Exams.
• He has worked at various top 10 national firms, mainly in Sheffield. Most recently he was with Grant Thornton in Leeds focussing on taxation work on mergers and acquisitions.
• Scott has a wealth of experience advising companies, their shareholders and directors in Yorkshire upon many areas of tax including mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring issues, remuneration planning for employees and directors and general tax planning and exit strategies for owner managers.

Interests:

• Playing and watching most sports, especially football (he’s a Sheffield Wednesday season ticket holder).
