Ingram Forrest Advise on £12m deal
Redhall Group plc, the specialist engineering support services group, has acquired Jex Engineering Company Limited in a £12 million deal.
Jex was founded by Tony Jex MBE in 1973 and is involved in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of production equipment for a client base of national and international blue-chip companies in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The £20 million turnover company has operations in Grimsby, Manchester and Birmingham.
The shareholders of Jex were advised by a team from Sheffield based Ingram Forrest Corporate Finance, led by Don Gray and David Forrest. Don Gray said: “This was a very rewarding transaction for us as we have achieved the ideal outcome for our clients. We worked with Tony and his team over many months and ran a process to ensure that theright partner was identified to take forward the business that has been built so successfully over the last 30 years. Redhall was selected as the preferred purchaser and I am sure will provide an excellent home for the Jex business and its employees.”
Tony Jex said: “This deal represents a watershed for the long-term future of the company. In making the right decision I am extremely grateful for the advice and support I have received throughout the process from my advisors at Ingram Forrest Corporate Finance and Andrew M Jackson Solicitors.”
