BHP Rapid Growth Survey 2010
We are delighted to launch the 2010 edition of the annual BHP Rapid Growth Survey. The survey, which is published in conjunction with The Star, is now in its third year and aims to recognise those businesses in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire whose vision, energy and determination has generated substantial growth.
If you would like to nominate a company for the 2010 survey please click here to download a nomination form. The closing date for entries is 13 August 2010 and the results of the survey will be published in the September edition of The Star's Business Monthly.
This year’s survey is being compiled against a background of a prolonged period of difficult trading conditions and some significant uncertainty as to the pace and extent of the recovery. In these challenging times it is perhaps more relevant than ever to highlight those businesses which have the potential to take a lead in generating sustainable economic growth for our region.
As in previous years the survey is primarily based on information published at Companies House. In addition, as some businesses may not be required to file full accounts detailing turnover we are encouraging nominations from both business owners and the region’s professional advisors and funders who work with high growth companies.
In order to qualify for inclusion in the survey businesses must have:
• traded for at least three years
• shown continuous growth in turnover over the previous three financial years
• recorded a minimum turnover of £2m in the latest financial year
• achieved profitability at operating level for the last three financial years
• a registered or primary trading address in the S and DN postcode area (excluding Humberside and North Lincolnshire)
If you have any queries about the survey please contact Don Gray (don.gray@bhp.co.uk) or Stephen Ingram (stephen.ingram@bhp.co.uk).
