Record Attendance at BHP Charity Conference

Leading Sheffield independent firm of Chartered Accountants Barber Harrison & Platt is pleased to announce a record number of delegates are attending its fourth Charity Conference on 21 October 2009 at Sheffield United Football Club.
The conference attracts representatives from charities all over the Yorkshire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire area.
This year’s varied programme will provide an update on several important issues affecting charities including: current accounting related issues, employment law, current VAT issues for the sector, investing for charities in turbulent market conditions and an in depth look at charity Reserves Policies.
The conference will be chaired by Jenny McAleese, Chief Executive of The Retreat York and also includes presentations by Keith Hickey, Chief Executive of the Charity Finance Directors’ Group, Jay Bhayani from local solicitors Watson Esam, Chris Hills, Chief Investment Officer at Rensburg Sheppards Investment Management and members of BHP’s specialist charity team.
