New Appointments February 2008
27 February 2008
Ingram Forrest Corporate Finance, the independent corporate finance arm of Barber Harrison & Platt, has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of John Longstaff as a Corporate Finance Director.
John (34) returns to an advisory role following a period at YFM Group where he gained private equity experience working on the South Yorkshire Investment Fund. Immediately prior to joining Ingram Forrest John completed two equity investments - the management buyout at architects Bond Bryan and development finance for a building products manufacturer (deal size £13 million).
Partner Stephen Ingram commented “We are delighted that John has joined us to increase the capacity and capability of our team. The current year has seen a continuation of the very busy year that we experienced in 2007 when we advised on a substantial number of deals. These included management buyouts at Adel and Davy Markham, the disposal of Jex Engineering to Redhall Group for £15 million and the disposal of My JobGroup. We also acted for Bank of Scotland on the £23m refinancing of Solpro and for Moneyplus Group on its acquisitions. These are just a selection of the wide range of transactions on which we’ve advised during 2007.”
